This site is a tribute to Chris Ruck. Devoted Husband of Sue, dearly loved Dad of Anita, Kevin, Caroline, Jen and the late Susan and Terry and a treasured Grandad and Great Grandad sadly missed by all his family.
The late Chris Ruck
The death of Cecil John “Chris” Ruck aged 90 years of Geoffrey Drive, Monmouth occurred at The University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff on 28th June 2024.
The funeral service took place on Monday 29th July at St Thomas Church, Overmonnow with the Reverend Catherine Haynes officiating. During the ceremony a recording of “The rainbows end” by Daniel O’Donnell played as reflective music, the organist Mr Robert Jones accompanied the hymns “The Lord’s my shepherd” and “The old rugged cross” and recessional music was “Strangers on the shore” by Acker Bilk.
Family bearers were Kevin Ruck, Dan Bourne, Dave Teague and Bunji Alexander.
Following the service committal took place at The Forest of Dean Crematorium.
Donations in memory of “Chris” are to benefit The Lullaby Trust and these are being received by Ernest Heal & Sons Funeral Directors, Chippenham Funeral Home, Howells Place, Monmouth, NP25 3ED.
